So my ex has been telling me for the past few weeks that he is starting to realize what a mistake he made by letting me go, and he tells me everyday after work that he misses me and that he hopes I’m happy. 

Then today he texted me and asked if there was anything he could do to “fix things” between us and start over again, new. 

It’s so, so satisfying to hear this. It probably shouldn’t be.
