Aside from my normal juice regimen, I also started drinking water mixed with chia seeds (because I’ve heard that it helps with the detox process.)
HOLY HELL is that shit nasty. I wouldn’t recommend chia seeds in water- it has a weird enough texture as it is without having the weird water taste-lessness also. It certainly worked- cleaned me right out (TMI TMI) but next time I think I’m going to mix the chia seeds in with my regular juice. And maybe not let it set so long and get so goopy.
All in all, lesson learned. Chia seeds good, chia seeds in water… weird.
Last summer I did this thing that I called “Raw For Summer” where for the months of June, July and August I ate about 95% raw (the other five percent was for things like salad dressing and other non-raw condiments) and it was a really big success. I plan on going raw again this summer, but in order to get into the groove of eating raw and mostly vegetables, I’ve decided to do a 30 day juice fast (May 2-31) leading up to my raw summer months.
I will be tracking my juice fast through the tag “fasting” and my raw for summer with the tag “rawforsummer,” in case any of my followers want to join me in fasting or going raw. I will also (aspire to) post daily about my experience with juicing, raw foods, recipes, etc.
So just a heads up, I will not only be posting about that sort of stuff a lot (which means more text posts, more personal things from me) and also there will be tags for you guys to track. I might also do some before/after photos of the juice fast and the sort of results that I got.
